    High-Capacity Memory Cards... work
    Comment:

Just thought I'd let everyone know. At the press event, Motorola stated that all the new RAZR devices were only tested up to 32GB, so anything more was not "officially supported".

I bought a 64GB Class 10 card from Amazon (SanDisk) - it was $50. When I connected it to my RAZR M it came up and said the format was not recognized and forced me to erase/reformat the card.

It's now showing as 59GB free - so I lost some storage (which would happen from the inode denisty in the formatting it knows) - but bottom line is I have a very happy phone.

I'd post more but I'm too busy loading up my RAZR M with music and movies :)

Lucky you....looking forward to hearing more about your experiences with this smaller device!  Sounds like it would fit my hands perfectly :)

Wow!  What a deal on the Sandisk microSDHC card!  The amount of storage space you (lost?) is actually about right.  I just purchased a Sandisk Ultra 32 GB class 10 card and the amount of available storage prior to me writing to it was 29.71 GB.  I really like Sandisk cards and the Ultra has a lifetime warranty....nice.   Thanks for the valuable feedback on your card.    --- Dan

if people need the specifics- I got this 64 GB card from amazon for ~$54 (Prime item too)-

      http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007WTAJTO/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i01

      "sandisk mobile ultra."

says class 10, USH speeed class 1. Funny is it says "ideal for Android smartphones and tablets" on the front of the backage but this phone, at least, doesn't recogize it.  Even has a giant android robot on the front of the package and a smaller one on the back. Also says it comes with the sandisk app for android on the card but since you have to reformat it that's pretty pointless....

I had a card in my phone so figured i would just pluck it and put the new one in. Didn't notice i put the new card in. So had to reboot. From there it prompts to reformat and after that shows up in storage at 59.46GB

      all's well.

I recently purchased the exact same card except in the 32GB size.  The app they are referring to is available on the Play Store it's "Sandisk Memory Zone" for free.  It appears innocuous enough, but it's quite an app, you can access your Cloud services, private files and have complete backup and restore options with automatic backup and programmable path for the backup to your external microSDHC storage.     --- Dan
